Temple Israel welcomes your generous donations of support to any of the on-going Temple Israel funds that support our efforts. Your commitment ensures a strong future and plays an essential role in a thriving congregation.

Adult Education Fund – Augments the Adult Education program. Income defrays the cost of special lecture series and programs.

Archives Fund – Assists in covering the cost of preservation of the many valuable artifacts the congregation has accumulated in its 160+ history.

Art & Beautification Fund – Allows for the enhancement of both the interior and exterior of our facility through the acquisition of artwork and landscaping improvements.

Bimah Access Fund – Created to seed improvements and to provide for rental of ramps and other devices as needed.

Building Fund – Provides monies to offset the rising cost of repairing, refurbishing and maintaining the facility.

Family Education Fund – Enhances family life programming for all ages.

Flower Fund – Provides floral arrangements for the High Holy Days as well as special occasions throughout the year.

Garden Fund – Provides for the planting and maintenance of the gardens and beds on the Temple property.

General Fund – Supports the operating budget of the congregation, supplementing dues to cover day-to-day expenses.

Leadership Development Fund – Helps train future congregational leaders, giving Reform Judaism a greater presence in central Ohio.

Music Fund – Enhances the musical traditions of Temple during worship, special programming and concerts.

Ner Tamid Fund – Supports the synagogue’s Capital/Endowment Campaign.

Oneg Shabbat /Kiddush Fund – Defrays the cost of weekly Erev Shabbat and Shabbat Morning refreshments, conducive for community-building.

Outreach Fund – Provides programs and activities to attract and integrate interfaith couples into the congregation and enable them to feel comfortable with Judaism.

Prayerbook Fund – Ensures an ample number of books for public and private devotion. Contributions also enable the purchase of torah Commentaries.

Preschool Fund – Supplements the existing program of this praiseworthy program that invests in the future of the children of our congregation.

President’s Fund – Defrays the costs bourn by the congregational president to attend conventions and special meetings.

Rabbis’ Discretionary Funds – Philanthropic funds of the Temple’s rabbis used for Tzedakah in the Jewish and secular communities at their discretion.

Social Action Fund – Donations assist in funding worthwhile projects that involve and educate members while interfacing with the Columbus secular community.

Youth Activities Fund – Provides financial support to supplement youth group activities.

Youth Scholarship Fund – Assists in providing scholarships for Reform summer camp and tuition assistance for Religious /Hebrew School for needy children
