High Holiday Information

The High Holy Days are about coming home, with open hearts and minds, to our best selves.  We invite you to make your home with us this year on the High Holy Days at our temporary home, the JCC of Greater Columbus, 1125 College Ave.

Guest Passes

Temple Israel is pleased to offer High Holy Day guest passes as a courtesy to anyone who would like to spend the High Holidays with us.

The deadline for Rosh Hashanah tickets is Wednesday, September 25.
The deadline for Yom Kippur tickets is Thursday, October 3.

For security reasons, ONLY pre-registered guests will be admitted for services.

You can request guest passes by clicking here.  Even guests who are your relatives need to pre-register, so don't forget anyone!

High Holiday Greeters/Ushers Needed

It's that time of year! Once again, we ask for your physical presence and your friendliest smiles to welcome our membership for the New Year at Temple Israel!

This year volunteer orientation/training will be MANDATORY.  This is due to new, added security measures being implements to assure everyone's safety during the holidays.  You may choose either Sunday, September 15 or Sunday, September 22 at 9:30 AM. Both meetings are at the JCC.  Be sure to indicate which session you'll attend.  These meetings will last approximately 1 hour.  Every volunteer must attend one of these sessions!

For more information, contact Ruth Silverman.

High Holy Day Babysitting

Temple Israel is pleased to offer child care for children 18 months through 8 years during High Holy Day services.  The cost is $15 per child per session.

Join the High Holiday Shofar Corps!

Any Religious School students who are interested in learning how to blow the Shofar will be able to meet with Isaac Stewart during Religious School on Sunday mornings. Students will have the opportunity to blow the shofar during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services.

We are in need of shofars for this activity. If you have one that you can donate or send with your child, please do! Contact Beata Abraham with any questions.
