Preschool Class

Our monthly Preschool class is for children ages 3-5 and focuses on helping our children to understand and appreciate Jewish customs, traditions, holidays, mitzvot (commandments) and virtues (middot) while nurturing a connection to God, Torah and Israel.


mezuzah hunt9:30 – 9:45 – Arrival
Children will arrive and get settled in the classroom.  Free time to explore the experiences set out for   the morning that support the learning concepts for the day.

9:45 – 10:00 Circle Time
Teacher led group time that will introduce daily concepts.  Activities that will be used include stories and fingerplays, games, music, prayer, and discussions.  This time will provide teachers with an opportunity to measure a child’s understanding of concepts and adjust lesson plans accordingly as well as a chance to help build our community.

10:00 – 10:45 – Activity Time, Part 1
A combination of structured and unstructured activities to support learning including art projects, cooking, classroom play (supported with intentional materials), “field trips” to explore the Temple, etc.
Music with Cantor Moses

10:45 – 11:00 – Snack Time
Time out for a snack.  Children will learn appropriate prayers for food, taste holiday foods, and learn basic Hebrew vocabulary associated with activity.

11:00 – 11:45 – Activity Time Part 2
Continuation of activities 

11:45 – Noon 
Closing group time.  Review of the morning activities and a story or song.
Good bye song.

The costs is $200/members and $300/non members.

Tot Shabbat

Our Tot Shabbat experience is held monthly on Shabbat at 10:30 AM. This program is geared toward families with children ages 1 through 7. It is a short and engaging Shabbat service that includes child friendly music and sharing opportunities.
