2018 Women's Tzedakah Collective

Our Tzedakah Collective, now in its 5th year, was formed under the leadership of Pamela Feldman-Hill from Temple Israel, and is open to all Reform Jewish Women in Central Ohio. This group is made up of women who are committed to making a difference.  Each member contributes $60 (tax-deductible) to a collective fund which is distributed at the end of the year as a grant. Each bi-monthly meeting is a chance to learn about a worthy organization in need of financial support, reflect on relevant text study, and socialize.

Those who are not able to attend the meetings may participate as a “virtual member” by reviewing all the materials electronically. At the end of the year all members vote on the grant recipients. Over the past four years the group learned about 26 agencies either by member research or by a speaker from an agency. Six grants were awarded totaling $5180.

Meetings will be held June 24, August 19, October 21, and December 16, with new members welcomed throughout the year.

Please contact Marsha Pond (, phone 614 468 1728) if you are interested in participating or would like additional information.
