2019 Tzedakah Collective

The fall meeting of the Central Ohio WRJ Tzedakah Collective will be on October 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, at Congregation Beth Tikvah. Our speaker will be Jen Patterson of the Harmony Project.

The Tzedakah Collective is a women’s philanthropy group that learns about the missions and needs of worthy non-profits whose work is consistent with our Reform Jewish values. This year we are focusing on organizations whose missions restore human dignity in Central Ohio. We collectively determine how grant money will be distributed each year. This year’s potential grant recipients include Joseph’s Coat (addressing the clothing and household needs of the poorest residents of Central Ohio), Growlers Dog Bones (providing vocational training and employment to young adults with disabilities), ACTION Ohio (assisting foster children as they age out of the foster care system, under the umbrella of the Ohio Children’s Alliance), and the Harmony Project (connecting Central Ohioans across social divides through the arts, education and volunteer community service.)

A minimum tax deductible donation of $60 is all that is required to become a Tzedakah Collective member for the year, and we will accept new members through November. Our members belong to each of the Reform synagogues in Central Ohio, and we welcome unaffiliated women.

We invite you to join us! For additional information or to join, contact Marsha Pond at, or call 614--468 -1728 (home), 607- 592 -1567 (cell).
